If not us, Who? If not now, When?
Now more than ever before, voices need to be raised in support of services to persons with mental health, developmental/intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders. Please take a few minutes to reach out to your legislators and tell them how the decisions they make impact your local community.
CMHAM serves as a legislative voice at the state and federal levels of government. We evaluate pending legislation and provide regular updates and alerts on current issues regarding mental health, developmental/intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders, including policy and appropriations. Association and Affiliate Members receive frequent updates explaining bills that are under consideration and recommending political action. Action alerts are sent to all members as issues and situations arise.
CMHAM’s Advocacy Center allows you to view information on special alerts, pending legislation, and legislator voting activity. You can also contact your legislators directly! Simply provide your information below to be added to our voterVOICE site for applicable Action Alert notifications.
