Systems Liaison- MDHHS Transitional Youth

We are the community Behavioral Health organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.

We are seeking a Systems Liaison to provide and facilitate access to Network180 services for children and families involved in the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) system with special focus on children involved in the Child Welfare System. The person in this role will provide guidance for the system regarding children who are transitioning to adult services, monitor complex cases, and participate in the planning and implantation of services. The person in this role will serve as the first point of contact for the Systems Liaison team; interact positively, providing excellent customer service to people with confidence and compassion to consumers and stakeholders from widely diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and differing abilities.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.The employee hired for this position will work on-site at our 790 Fuller Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI Location.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related Human Services field.

• State of Michigan limited or full license as a master’s social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.

• Thorough knowledge of mental health service options within and outside the Kent County region.

• Experience working with I/DD or Mentally Ill youth and/or adult services.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and an electronic health record.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with Children & Adolescence Functional Assessment Scale/Preschool & Early Childhood Functional Assessment Scale and Adverse Childhood Experiences Study.

• Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) credential or at least one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families obtained via employment or internship experience.

• Spanish/English bilingual.

• Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
