Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems (TBHS) has been providing services within Tuscola County since 1974. As the Community Mental Health Agency within Tuscola County, we are here to provide services to children with severe emotional disorders, adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disorders.

This job is located in Caro, Michigan.
Full-time position; 40 hours/wk. (Monday-Friday) Provides emergency services after regular office hours.
Salary Range: $28.36 – $33.17 per hour – BSN Licensure
Salary Range: $27.31 – $31.73 per hour – ASN Licensure
$10,000.00 sign-on bonus available. (If eligible, first payment at 6 months; second payment at 12 months)

Requirements:

Registered Nurse with Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; State of Michigan license required
Two years nursing experience, preferably providing psychiatric nursing services to adults with a severe and persistent mental illness and/or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder.
Demonstrates initiative, judgment, crisis intervention and leadership abilities, and effective communication skills.
Must be capable of working independently with a minimum of direct supervision and adhere to professional guidelines.
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are required.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities involve the direct provision of nursing and medical services, referral, and coordination of medically necessary care for individuals served in the ACT team or in other programs or services as directed by supervision.
Provides integrated psychosocial services to individuals served in community settings as a part of a mental health treatment team.
Provides health/medical related consultation with relevant individual served care providers, law enforcement, and other community agencies as indicated in plan of service or as assigned.
Coordinates behavioral health and medical/physical health care services with primary care physicians or other medical care providers.
Participates in Medication Management and Infection Control committees.
Provides emergency services during and/or after regular office hours and crisis assistance and consultation as necessary.
This position requires travel (agency vehicle available).
Demonstrates knowledge of and actively supports culturally competent, recovery-based practices.
