If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as a Registered Medical Assistant!

What You Will Be Doing
Working full-time (40 hrs/wk) as a Registered Medical Assistant in our outpatient psychiatric clinic, you will be part of a dynamic and diverse integrated team of clinicians providing services for adults and children. You will be performing vitals, updating medication lists, carrying out physician orders within your scope of practice and providing support to the clinical team in our outpatient psychiatric services clinic.

What We Require
A High School diploma or GED and one of the following professional accreditations is required: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Certified Nurses Aide (CNA). Experience working in a medical office practice is required. A strong understanding of services for psychiatric and substance use disorders is preferred. Strong computer skills are essential for this position including word processing, spreadsheets, database management and e-mail. A valid Michigan Driver’s license is also required. The ideal candidate must have effective communication skills and the ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
