Description: Under the supervision of a Mental Health Program Director and Program Coordinator, the mental health therapist will assess children and adolescents, identify goals, develop person centered plans for treatment/services, develop crisis/safety plans, implement treatment/services, and link and coordinate with community services on behalf of the child and family.
Duties: Full time position as therapist for children & adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and their families. Provide individual & family therapy and case management, primarily in office setting. Collaborate with internal & external services and community programs/resources. Emphasis on teaming and collaborating with agency and community professionals on behalf of families.
Qualifications: Mental Health Therapist II – Master’s degree with Michigan licensure, either LMSW, LLP or LPC. Mental Health Therapist I – Master’s degree with Michigan licensure, either LLMSW, TLLP or LLPC., as the ability to obtain full licensure within 2 years of hire. Valid MI driver’s license required. Evening hours required.
EXPERIENCE: Prior treatment experience providing with therapy/counseling services to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance and strong teaming skills required. Training in Evidence-Based treatment models preferred.
