Health and Safety Training Specialist

We are the public community behavioral health organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse disorder, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.
We are seeking a Health and Safety Training Specialist to assist the Network180 Training Department in providing quality classroom and virtual training to our staff and provider network. The person in this role will provide training on topics including but not limited to physical management and de-escalation training, and CPR/BLS training, as well as lead agency safety and security drills and consultations.
This is a part-time position, 24 hours a week, from Monday to Friday, in person.
Network180 has made the safety of our employees a priority. We provide Personal Protection Equipment to our employees and thorough safety and cleaning protocols are in place. Job interviews are being conducted virtually or in person.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of physical management intervention and de-escalation courses such as MANDT or CPI.
CPR and First Aid Instructor License.
Experience and ability to deliver training material in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
Experience delivering training for adult learners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to effectively teach and communicate with a variety of people and organizations.
Well-developed public speaking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
Commitment to treating all staff and learners with dignity, respect, and inclusion.
Strong working knowledge of the principles of trauma informed care.
Experience in presenting digital content such as videos and PowerPoint presentations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
Career background in health and safety or related field.
Certification in MANDT or as a MANDT trainer.
Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
