Job description

Founded in 1995, Turning Leaf Behavioral Health Services is a vastly growing CARF accredited treatment provider offering a variety of supports to adults with a primary diagnosis of mental illness as well as co-occurring diagnoses including: personality disorders, developmental disabilities and/or substance use. Turning Leaf partners with agencies across the State of Michigan to provide customized clinical supports, designed to meet each individual’s needs. We are seeking candidates for a Director of Operations position based out of our Lansing, Michigan corporate office.

Overview : Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working jointly with the Leadership Team: working toward the highest level of consumer care, continuity of care, organizational efficiency and efficacy as it pertains to the day to day operations. The Chief Operating Officer will jointly supervise the Finance, Human Resources, Clinical, and Operations departments with the Executive Director, providing leadership to clinical and non-clinical staff in all programs while establishing and nurturing a positive and productive environment for the overall health and well-being of the individuals we serve. Oversee operations for Turning Leaf’s CARF Accredited Residential Treatment, Community Housing, Day Treatment & Community Integration programs. Provides strategic planning, marketing, and supervision/leadership services for the organization and its employees. Will also function as the Turning Leaf Safety Officer and Corporate Compliance Officer. The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for Performance Indicators (PI) required by external accreditation body including but not limited to Strategic Planning, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Service Access and Satisfaction.

Required Qualifications : Qualified candidates will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in a human services field (i.e. healthcare administration, psychology, social work, etc.). Priority consideration will be given to candidates who possess at least five years’ experience with population served or a commensurate population. Must be capable of completing required reports and following written and oral instructions; suitable to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of each resident; and capable of handling emergency situations. Travel to various sites around the state of Michigan may be required.

Contingencies: All opportunities at Turning Leaf are contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, tuberculosis testing, criminal background clearances, as well as degree and/or license verification. A valid Michigan Driver’s License is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.

Salary : Salary commensurate with education and experience, subject to negotiation.
