We are the community Behavioral Health organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We need individuals who are passionate about making a difference by helping others.

We are seeking an Adult Outpatient Therapist to provide ongoing and developmentally appropriate, evidence-based, trauma and recovery focused outpatient therapy to clients of Network180’s Adult Outpatient Clinic.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week, with typical business hours Monday through Thursday, 8am/8:30am-5pm/5:30pm, Fridays are virtual with no client appointment after noon, with flexibility to meet 40 hours per week based on the candidate’s scheduling preferences. No holidays, weekends, or on-call requirements. The working location will be onsite Monday through Thursday at 790 Fuller Ave NE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or Psychology, Counseling or Counseling Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy
• Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed or limited licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapy, or psychologist OR the ability to obtain a limited license within 30 days of hire
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
• Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
• Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills.
• Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Fully licensed MSW.
• Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
• CAADC certification through the Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals or able to obtain a development plan for the credential.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed theories, principles, and practices (includes multi-faceted understanding of concepts such as community trauma, intergenerational and historical trauma, parallel processes, and universal precautions).
• Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
• For DBT therapists, experience providing DBT to fidelity as a member of a DBT treatment team.
