Jody Nelson (Summer Conference 2026)

Jody Nelson presented an educational breakout session at CMHA’s Summer Conference titled, “You Can’t Give What You Don’t Have: Reconnecting Clinicians to Meaning, Strengths, and Sustainable Practice.” He is a licensed master social worker and Coordinator with Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Community Mental Health Authority (CEI CMH), as well as the owner of Cogito Therapy LLC in East Lansing, Michigan. Jody discusses how a bizarre traumatic event, affecting his entire family during his adolescence, would go on to make him a better therapist, clinical supervisor and public speaker.
