Public Policy

CMHAM serves as a legislative voice at the state and federal levels of government. We evaluate pending legislation and provide regular updates and alerts on current issues regarding mental health, developmental / intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders, including policy and appropriations. Association and Affiliate Members receive frequent updates explaining bills that are under consideration and recommending political action.  Action alerts are sent to all members as issues and situations arise.
