Residential Services Division Director (Marysville)

REPORTS TO:

Executive Director

Shift:

1 F/T position; primarily 8:30AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday, and be available on a 24 hour basis to the organization for emergencies and consultative issues.

Salary (compensation will be commensurate with experience):

$45,000 – $67,997 per year

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree preferred. A bachelor’s degree in the Social Services field or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of management experience.

Valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable for insurance purposes and reliable transportation.
Acceptable criminal records check, meeting the organization definition of acceptable moral character.
Meets any minimum qualification for the position as may be required by the Department of Human Services, Department of Community Health, funding sources and/or federal, state or local statutes.

Working Environment: The employee will be subject to routine use of computers, keyboards, mouse, manual and computerized filing systems, phone systems, faxes, scanners, copy machines and other office equipment as needed throughout the course of employment.

Performance Standards: This position shall adhere to organization policies; maintain consumer/employee confidentiality, effective teamwork, courteous professional interactions with public and co-workers. The individual must demonstrate the ability to act in the most professional manner at all times and avoid even the appearance of impropriety.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Residential Services Division Director is primarily responsible for the policy, program and personnel management of the division operations. This is done in accordance with the policies, procedures, goals and objectives as are adopted by the Board of Directors and in compliance with any and all regulatory organization standards. This job description is not all inclusive and is subject to change as the needs of the organization change.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

Oversee the development and implementation of policies and program operational directions within the Division.

Serve as a member of the “Administrative Team” for the organization.

Provide oversight and leadership regarding organization compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, and/or local regulatory agency requirements related to the Division.

Assume responsibility for and leadership of the policy, business management, and personnel management of the Residential Services Division.

As requested, serve as designee in the absence of the Executive Director or another Division Director.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in the Accreditation process.

Participate in the Strategic Planning and Goal Development process.

Coordinate agendas and preparation of materials for Board(s), Management, Supervisory and/or staff meetings as necessary.

Provide oversight and leadership regarding program and personnel evaluation activities within the Division.

Participate in organization-wide initiatives and events.

Work cooperatively with all members of the Administrative Team, office support personnel, Board and staff.

PROGRAM OPERATIONS:

Provide oversight and leadership to Supervisors in the Residential Division.
Provide leadership with regard to the promotion of organization values.

Serve as Residential Services contact to licensing, funding sources, and other regulatory agencies.
As requested, assist in preparing and revising budgets, licensing materials, and contracts with funding organizations as necessary to conform with spending constraints / budget variances.

Assure that organization properties, homes, furnishings and vehicles are safe and properly maintained.
Assure that treatment plans are implemented consistently and revised when needed to meet resident needs.

Provide recommendations or status reports as appropriate to the Executive Director regarding such things as program needs, facility issues, opportunities for collaboration, personnel issues, rights violations, potential community issues, funding source issues, etc.

Monitor program and staff activity to assure compliance with all required standards (i.e. CMH, DCH, and DHS).

Be available on a 24 hour basis to the organization for emergency and consultative issues.
Attend training and in-service opportunities that strengthen and update the skills and knowledge important to the position.

COMMUNITY COLLABORATION:

Serve as Organization representative on key committees or at key events as indicated by the Executive Director.

Participate with the Executive Director at Board meetings, Licensing meetings, Accreditation meetings, or funding source meetings as requested.

Seek collaborative/cooperative activities with other community entities as a means of addressing unmet and/or under met needs of those served.

Conduct presentations regarding the organization or program for community groups and organizations, as requested by the Executive Director.
