Psychiatric Stabilization Clinic Coordinator

We are the behavioral health community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Psychiatric Stabilization Clinic Coordinator to provide support to clients and the Psychiatric Stabilization Clinic (PSC) staff to support the daily function of the clinic and meet the complex needs of the clients. Support psychiatric stabilization clinic through chart prep, discharge planning, insurance authorization, screenings, and referral services. All activities will take place either face-to-face or by phone. Network180 covers the cost of the State of Michigan limited license.

This position is Monday – Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends, no on-call rotation, and no holidays requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Licensed in the State of Michigan as a full licensed or limited licensed bachelor’s social worker OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within 3 months of hire.
At least one year of satisfactory work experience providing services to individuals with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities or substance use disorders
Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment
Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills
Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
Full Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed bachelor’s social worker.
Three years post undergraduate experience working with individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
Spanish Speaking
