We have an opening for a Peer Recovery Coach working out of our Recovery United Community Center.

This role would allow the PRC to work with individuals to provide a continuum of care through residential and

outpatient treatment. The hours would be flexible on community needs and would require some weekends.

Applicants must be in long term recovery from a substance use disorder at least 3 years.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direct services primarily in-person to individuals as assigned.
Ensures assigned paperwork is completed and maintained in accordance with funding source standards and CARE of SEM policy and procedures.
Demonstrates in practice there are multiple pathways to recovery.
Able to delivers service in a short term setting by applying the screening brief intervention and referral to treatment model (SBIRT), when applicable.
Work cooperatively and effectively with personnel of assigned site, for example, emergency department staff.
Establish and maintain liaison relationships with appropriate agencies.
Facilitate timely referral and placements from hospital to treatment/recovery support providers.
Connect individuals to a larger community of care.
Educate, assist, and support family members, as requested.
Documents information for established metrics and outcomes as required.
Participates in ongoing recovery coach training, education, and performance support.
Ability to adjust hours of work based on the community needs, including some evening and weekends.
