What You Will Be Doing
Working as an Intensive Crisis Stabilization Clinician you will work as a member of our ICS team to provide short term crisis services to individuals in our community. This position will provide collaborative, strengths based, trauma informed care to adults and/or youth and their families who are experiencing a mental health crisis. You will assist individuals and families by evaluating, providing support and connecting to resources and services in the community in collaboration with community providers and resources in order to assess and/or provide the appropriate level of care. This position is grant funded through 09/30/2024, with extension of funding anticipated.
What We Require
This position is open to either a master’s degree or bachelor’s in social work degreed candidate, and while a master’s level candidate is preferred, individuals with a Bachelor’s in Social Work candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The starting rate will be dependent upon the candidate’s level of education and experience.
Master’s Level Requirements
You will have a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field with a minimum of three years’ experience working with adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders that also have co-morbid health conditions. Individuals with a Master’s degree will complete full biopsychosocial assessments, preadmission screening and crosstraining with other departments for coverage. A valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator’s license is required. Required License: LMSW, LLMSW, LLP, LPC, or LLPC.
Bachelor’s Level Requirements
You will have a bachelor’s degree in social work with a minimum of one years’ experience working with adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders that also have co-morbid health conditions. Individuals with a BSW will provide crisis intervention services, connect individuals with resources and complete safety planning with at risk individuals. A valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator’s license is required. Required License: LBSW, or LLBSW.
