We’re seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Director of Finance to lead and oversee our finance department. What You’ll Do
As the Director of Finance, you will:
• Supervise daily accounting functions and manage a dedicated finance team.
• Oversee general accounting, payroll, budgeting, claims, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Coordinate budget preparation and prepare financial reports and analyses for the Board of Directors and organizational leadership.
• Lead departmental goals, audits, and policy development to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide supervision, counseling, and performance evaluations for finance staff.
• Record, post, and process daily transactions, monthly journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze grant reporting for agencies like MDHHS and SAMHSA.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing budgets, invoices, and financial status reports.
• Develop and implement policies to align with current regulations and best practices.
• Represent the organization professionally at community events and meetings.
• Ensures Accurate and timely processing of payroll, and payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

• Proven leadership experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and compliance regulations.
• Expertise in budget preparation, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

Required Education / Certification / Licensure
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
MHFA (Mental Health First Aid), upon hire.

Preferred Education / Certification/Licensure
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance (MSF), Accounting (MBA), Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
Certified Public Accountant, CPA.
