We are the community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Substance Abuse Disorder (SUD) Clinician to provide services as an employee assigned to Spectrum Heath’s Center for Integrated Medicine (Substance Abuse Treatment Clinic), provide social work expertise to a multi-disciplinary clinical team, ensure the provision of clinical social work services as well as the appropriate access to behavioral health care records and the successful integration of the CMH authority’s responsibilities to individuals served within the Spectrum Health system of care.

This is a full-time position, regularly scheduled Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. No weekends or Holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Social Work, or Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapist, or Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling
Licensure in the State of Michigan as either full license in LMSW, LPC, or LMFT; OR Limited Licensed in the State of Michigan as either LLMSW, LLPC, or LLMFT
CAADC credential or development plan to obtain; CAADC credential must be obtained within three years of hire
Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or Medical Exemption prior to hire
Excellent of communications skills, both verbal and written
Ability to interact positively with individuals from widely diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and differing abilities.
Basic computer skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in evidence-based practices of care, including motivational interviewing, CBT and/or DBT, preferred
Three years of experience with co-occurring disorders preferred
Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
