The Chief Executive Officer is employed by the Governing Board of WMCMH and is responsible for effectively leading WMCMH such that it successfully achieves its mission of service to the residents of Mason, Lake, and Oceana counties. Specific areas of responsibility include executive leadership of the staff of WMCMH; oversight and leadership of the Agency’s compliance and recipient rights efforts; executive support to WMCMH’s governing board; community connecting / consumer advocacy activities; CMH affiliation strategy and relationship management; active participation and leadership in local, regional, state, and if appropriate, federal mental health advocacy activities relating to policy, legislation, and regulation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. It is required that, at minimum, the position incumbent will have a master’s degree in a professional discipline relevant to providing executive leadership for a public mental health organization from an accredited college or university. Such disciplines include MA / PhD in Psychology or Counseling, MSW, MBA or MPA.
2. It is required that, at minimum, the position incumbent will have five years of experience in the mental health field, two of which must be in administration.
