Would you like to be a valuable member of a diversity driven, mission-minded team that impacts our community? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work as Senior Executive for Youth and Families.  

What You Will Be Doing
The Service Executive for the Youth and Families Department is a senior leadership position responsible for a full continuum of services both delivered through our network and directly operated, including but not limited to Home Based/MST, Wraparound, Youth Case Management, Youth and Family Outpatient Therapy, and Family Support Partners, autism services, etc.  You will provide oversight to a team of highly qualified program managers and supervisors to ensure excellence in clinical services while meeting technical program compliance within the local System of Care.  You will meet regularly with teams within the department, community, and participate in organizational teams to assure quality processes, and provide direction on system processes and changes.  You will provide leadership to assure outcome driven services integrated into our local system of care that incorporates parent and youth voice.  You will also review program management reports and ensure compliance with Michigan Health and Human Services regulations and requirements.  You will serve as a resource, connecting programs and staff with provider supports and services to meet community and individual needs. 

What We Require
You should have previous experience collaborating with persons of diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, demonstrate a high degree of knowledge of clinical practices, demonstrate methodical problem-solving, have experience in data analysis, compliance reporting, and technical Medicaid service rules.  Must be able to work in an often stressful, fast-paced work environment. Ability to demonstrate strengths of an exceptional leader including building trust and respect, promoting harmony and teamwork, and excels at problem-solving and communication.

Master’s degree required in human services field along with a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Psychologist (LP), Limited License Psychologist (LLP) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and minimum five years program management experience in mental health and/or substance abuse working with identified target population, plus three years administrative and supervisory experience. Experience in a Community Mental Health setting, clinical professional licensure, and/or experience in clinical service delivery preferred. Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic health records. Valid Michigan Driver’s license required.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:                                                        

Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate.  May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate.  Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.                                                                                                                                        
Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones.  Use of computer for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time.  Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen.  May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites.  Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
