Description: Under the supervision of a Mental Health Program Director, Program Coordinator will lead a clinical team serving people with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. Individual must have strong leadership, fiscal management and teaming skills; commitment to recovery; exceptional knowledge of evidence-based practices (e.g. Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Treatment, Motivational Interviewing); strong clinical intervention skills for case management and therapy in office and home environments; and ability to monitor outcomes effectively.
Duties: Full-time position as Program Coordinator for clinical team serving adults with serious mental illness, substance use disorders and/or aging. Individual needs to hire and supervise staff effectively, promote and implement evidence-based interventions, monitor outcomes, manage finances and collaborate with community partners.
Qualifications: Master’s degree with Michigan licensure, either LMSW, LLP or LPC. Three years experience with providing service to people with substance use and mental health needs. Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) or eligibility preferred. Certification in Dialectical Behavior Treatment preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Valid MI driver’s license required. Some evening hours may be required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years in providing clinical treatment to people with serious mental illness, preferably in a community mental health setting. Prior supervisory experience is valuable. Prior experience in implementing dialectical behavior therapy and integrated dual disorder treatment preferred. Experience in working with electronic medical records required. Ability to work as part of a team of professionals in a public mental health setting required.
