Effective Group Facilitation Skills Participants will be able to define facilitation in prevention settings in addition to learning how to identify the stages of group development and learn effective communication skills while learning a preventions role in group decision making as well as learning to apply interventions during activities in prevention settings as well as learn a five-step structured experience process

Identify appropriate strategies to manage training groups and meetings.

SUD Prevention staff, coalition and community partners.
Presenter(s)
Tasha Wilkerson, MA, Tasha Wilkerson holds an MA in training and Instructional Design and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Preventionist, with over 26 years as a professional trainer and community activists. Tasha has a broad knowledge organizing, coalition building and staff capacity building. Tasha has focused her efforts on strategic planning and community capacity building for many years, spending many hours working with adults and faith leaders to help build a safer community
CEUs Substance Abuse Professionals: CMHA is approved by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). CMHA maintains the responsibility for the program and content. Substance Abuse Professionals participating in this training may receive a maximum of 2 Related Contact Hours. Some "Related" workshops may meet MCBAP/IC&RC educational requirements for focused topics in addiction certification domains, such as for Peer Recovery or Supervisor credentials. It is important that attendees keep a copy of the conference program brochure containing the workshop description. Qualifies as “in-person education”.
Cancellation Policy
Substitutions are permitted 3 business days prior to the training. No-shows will be billed at the full training rate. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the training for a full refund less a $5 administrative fee. If cancellation is received less than 10 business days prior to the training, no refund will be given. Refunds will be issued within 90 days of the training
