Virtual 1-Day Motivational Interviewing Supervisory Training

Motivational Interviewing (MI) for Supervisors provides supervisors multiple tools that they can use to help direct care staff meet basic competency in using motivational interviewing. The MI Consultation and Feedback Form is a useful tool in evaluating seven areas of competency. Supervisors will have a better understanding of the 4 Processes of MI.
The training is intended for supervisors of contact level staff/practitioners such as case managers, supports coordinators, therapists, crisis workers, and peer support specialists in the state of Michigan at the intermediate or advanced level of practice.
Virtual Participation Guidelines:
$70 per person.
The fee includes electronic training materials and CEs.

|Who Should Attend||
This event is sponsored by the adult mental health block grant and is intended only for persons who serve adults through the mental health and substance abuse provider network in the state of Michigan. It contains content appropriate for CEOs, COOs, clinical directors, supervisors, case managers, support coordinators, therapists, crisis workers, peer support specialists and any other practitioners at the beginning, advanced and supervisory levels of practice.
Michelle Boudreaux, LMSW
Michelle Boudreaux, LMSW, has been providing mental health and cooccurring services for over twenty-years. She started her career working in residential treatment with adolescents in their families. She has provided IDDT treatment and utilized Motivational Interviewing since 2005 and has provided DBT treatment since 2007. She was a program supervisor who has provided oversight to multiple evidence-based practices. (IDDT, MI, DBT, FPE, IPS, Recovery Illness and Management, Integrated Healthcare, etc.) for eleven years. She currently is a supervisor at InterAct of Michigan where she provides co-occurring and DBT services. She also serves on the MIFAST review team for DBT approach, while honoring the Spirit of MI.
6 Continuing Education Hours:
Social Workers: This course qualifies for a maximum of 6 continuing education hours. The Community Mental Health Association is an approved provider with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. Approved Provider Number: MICEC 060818. Qualifies as “face-to-face (in-person) education.”
Substance Abuse Professionals: CMHAM is approved by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). CMHAM maintains the responsibility for the program and content. Substance Abuse Professionals participating in this training may receive a maximum of 6 specific contact hours. It is important that attendees keep a copy of the training brochure containing the descriptions along with their attendance record form. Qualifies as “in-person education.”
Certificate Awarded: After confirmation that you have fully participated in this training (see Virtual Participation section), completed the quiz and evaluation, your Continuing Education Certificate will be emailed to you within 30 days of the training.

Evaluation/Grievance: There will be an opportunity for each participant to complete an evaluation of the course and the instructor. *National Accreditation rules indicate that if you are over 5-minutes late or depart early, you forfeit your CEs for the entire training. Please note that this is a National rule that CMHAM must enforce or we could lose our provider status to provide CEs in the future. This rule will be strictly followed.
Substitutions are permitted up to 5 business days prior to the training. No-shows will be billed at the full training rate. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the conference for a full refund less a $15 administrative fee. If cancellation is received less than 10 business days prior to the training, no refund will be given. Refunds will be issued within 90 days of the training. You will receive a refund receipt to the email address provided when the original payment was made. If you have not received a receipt, please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org with registrant and organization name, training name and date, and order number.
