ACT team leaders will discuss areas that have been identified by MIFAST reviews as the most common areas needing improvement. These areas will be addressed as they relate to the ACT improvement model, Michigan Medicaid Provider Manual, the MiFAST ACT fidelity tool and the Field Guide to ACT (including SAMHSA requirements). Team leaders will be given the opportunity to address specific issues that they are experiencing and trends/solutions that have been noted across the state will be explored.
$35/person per day & includes breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack & materials

10:00-11:00: AM: Outcomes measurement
11:00-12:00 PM: Criteria for admission and discharge from ACT
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch
1:00 – 2:00 PM: Supervision
2:00 – 3:00 PM: Team needs
3:00 – 4:00 PM: Self Care/Team Cohesion
4:00 PM: Conclusion of training
*Two 15-minute breaks will be provided at the discretion of the presenters
1. Team Makeup/Roles/Team Meeting: Identify makeup of a fully staffed ACT Team, identify different roles of each team member, identify 3 core functions of the team meeting.
2. Outcomes measurement: Identify core outcomes that should be measured as related to ACT fidelity, utilizing outcomes measures as a quality improvement/fidelity tool.
3. Be able to identify the criteria for admission and discharge from ACT including diagnostic criteria and LOCUS assessment.
4. Supervision: Be able to identify the 3 core functions of supervision. Identify the difference between licensing supervision and job performance supervision.
5. Identify strategies to identify team needs. Identify 3 barriers to having a cohesive team.
6. Selfcare: Identify 3 areas of self-care for both supervisors and staff. Identify 3 signs of burnout and how to address burnout.
7. Consumer engagement/staff longevity/improved outcomes as a function of team cohesion. Identify 3 strategies for improving team cohesion.

Certificate Awarded: At the conclusion of this conference, turn in your Certificate of Attendance form to the CMHAM Staff to be approved. You will turn in the top sheet & retain the bottom sheet which serves as your certificate. No other certificate will be given.

Substance Abuse Professionals: CMHA is approved by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). CMHA maintains the responsibility for the program and content. Substance Abuse Professionals participating in this training may receive a maximum of 5.5 related contact hours per day. Some "Related" workshops may meet MCBAP/IC&RC educational requirements for focused topics in addiction certification domains, such as for Peer Recovery or Supervisor credentials. National Accreditation Rules: National Accreditation rules indicate that if you are over five (5) minutes late or depart early, you forfeit your continuing education hours for the entire training. Please note that this is a National rule that CMHA must enforce or we could lose our provider status to provide continuing education hours in the future. This rule will be strictly followed.
|Cancellation Policy||If you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for the full registration fee. Substitutions are permitted at any time. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the conference for a full refund less a $10 administrative fee. If cancellation is received less than 10 business days prior to the training, no refund will be given.|
