While there is no fee for this event, we request written cancellation notice if you find that you are unable to attend.

Training Description: This remote booster training opportunity is designed for experienced CAFAS® trainers with five (5) or more years of current CAFAS® training experience. The training will review item scoring reliability and focus on using CAFAS® to identify youth and family service needs and measure treatment outcomes. Participants will be contacted by the trainer two weeks before the webinar date with instructions for required viewing and rating of two new video vignettes to be completed and submitted at least three days prior to the webinar. This training will facilitate cross-sharing of training tips and ideas, and provides new resources that trainers may choose to use within their own trainings. Participation requires rating of assigned vignettes and submitting scores prior to engaging in live two-hour webinar.

Who Should Attend Mental Health Professionals who have been active CAFAS Trainers for five or more years, and who have previously completed CAFAS® Reliability Training, CAFAS® Train-the-Trainer Training, AND CAFAS® Trainer Booster Training.
Presenter(s) ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Heidi Wale Knizacky received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University where she was a research assistant for Dr. Kay Hodges, the author of the CAFAS®. Heidi has done clinical work in both CMH and private agency settings and continues to specialize in working with youth and families. She owns APPRECOTS - Applied Research Consultants, a company that assists with evidence-based program development, implementation, and assessment within human service agencies. Heidi is currently involved with several initiatives related to applied behavioral treatment practices, provision of safe and appropriate services to LGBTQ+ youth and is a member of Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
