Who Should Attend This event is sponsored by the adult mental health block grant and is only intended for persons who serve adults through CMH, CMH Service Providers, PIHP, and PIHP providers in the State of Michigan. It contains content appropriate for CEOs, COOs, Clinical Directors, Supervisors, Case Managers, Support Coordinators, Therapists, Crisis Workers, Peer Support Specialist and any other practitioners at the beginning level of practice. This training fulfills the annual requirement for persons who are part of an IDDT team, as well as for persons providing COD services in Adult Mental Health outpatient services.
Presenter(s) Jennifer Harrison, PhD, LMSW, CAADC
Jennifer is a social work faculty member in the College of Health and Human Services at Western Michigan University. Jennifer has been in clinical and administrative practice for over 20 years, and has teaching expertise in direct practice, field education, and social policy. She has designed inter-professional courses and presented internationally on advanced quantitative analysis of mental health implementation. Her clinical work is focused on integrated medical and behavioral health using evidence-based methods. Jennifer’s research interests include social and economic justice, co-occurring mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs among adults, peer services, and food insecurity/ sovereignty.
CEUs 6 Continuing Education Hours:
Social Workers: This course qualifies for a maximum of 6 Continuing Education hours. The Community Mental Health Association is an approved provider with the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. Approved Provider Number: MICEC 060818.
Substance Abuse Professionals: CMHAM is approved by Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). CMHAM maintains the responsibility for the program and content. Substance Abuse Professionals participating in this training may receive a maximum of 6 specific contact hours. It is important that attendees keep a copy of the training brochure containing the descriptions along with their attendance record form.
Certificate Awarded: At the conclusion of this conference, turn in your Certificate of Attendance form to the CMHAM Staff to be approved. You will turn in the top sheet & retain the bottom sheet which serves as your certificate. No other certificate will be given.

*National Accreditation rules indicate that if you are over 5-minutes late or depart early, you forfeit your CEUs for the entire training. Please note that this is a National rule that CMHAM must enforce or we could lose our provider status to provide CEUs in the future. This rule will be strictly followed.
Cancellation Policy Substitutions are permitted at any time. No-shows will be billed at the full training rate. Cancellations must be received in writing at least 10 business days prior to the conference for a full refund less a $15 administrative fee. If cancellation is received less than 10 business days prior to the training, no refund will be given.
