This podcast was conducted at the CMHA Annual Winter Conference held on February 2nd, 2026 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Kalamazoo, MI.

Daniel Arnold returns to be interviewed again, this time bringing with him his co-presenter Michelle LaLone. Daniel’s prior interview can be listened to here. Daniel, Michelle and Matt Whipple presented Life Is Not Over At Disability at our 2026 Annual Winter Conference. Daniel and Michelle are authors of many books, presenters and advocates. They share their challenges, visions of their future advocacy, and the joy they share being able to empower others in our communities holding leadership roles as well as individuals experiencing their own challenges. Their individual stories, Michelle hit by a car at the age of 8 and being left with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Daniel living with a diagnosis of Schizoaffective Disorder, are heartening.
